The R.E.G. Trauma Healing Framework

R.E.G. stands for Regulate, Engage, and Grow. It is a Spirit-led discipleship process designed to help individuals move from emotional overwhelm to spiritual clarity. The R.E.G. Method integrates biblical truth, somatic awareness, and prayerful connection with God—offering a safe and practical approach to healing without the use of clinical therapy.

What is the R.E.G. Discipleship Process?

The R.E.G. Method supports individuals as they:

  • Regulate – Calm the body and increase self-awareness using biblically grounded somatic practices
  • Engage – Invite God into the emotional space through prayer and guided reflection
  • Grow – Replace lies with Scripture-based truth and reinforce new patterns of belief and identity in Christ

How is R.E.G. Different from EMDR?

EMDR is a clinical therapy for trauma reprocessing. While research-based, it must be administered by licensed professionals and carries some emotional risk.

The R.E.G. Method is a biblically grounded alternative that:

  • Calms the nervous system without forcing memory recall
  • Focuses on spiritual engagement, not subjective reinterpretation
  • Leads to identity transformation through Scripture
  • Is suitable for lay counseling and discipleship, not clinical therapy

Who Is It For?

R.E.G. is helpful for individuals experiencing:

  • Emotional overwhelm or spiritual disconnection
  • Recurring fear, shame, or confusion
  • Difficulty hearing from God clearly
  • Desire for inner healing and transformation

Important Disclaimer

The R.E.G. Method is not a form of clinical therapy. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It is a spiritual discipleship process rooted in Scripture and prayer. If symptoms exceed the scope of this method, we refer to licensed professionals.
